Samsung Galaxy S9. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is the company's first dual-camera rear-facing phone. According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will also feature two rear cameras and a relocation of the fingerprint reader.
It is not the first time that an analyst has boasted of this information, since the previous month Kim Rok-ho, an analyst at Hana Financial had stated that the Galaxy S9 would be presenting a dual rear camera module. This information was seconded by another analyst named Park Hyug-woo of Shinhan Investment. Now, Kuo, famous for revealing features of the upcoming Apple and Samsung devices, has also made the same claim.
Earlier this month, Kuo also stated that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 + will continue to feature a fingerprint reader mounted on the back, a location that has not liked the brand's fans too much and they keep hoping to relocate this sensor as a consequence of the appearance of a double camera in the same place. However it seems that finally Samsung will follow the design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and will integrate the fingerprint reader between the dual camera and LED flash.
Goodbye to the fingerprint reader in the back
The analyst also said that Galaxy Note 9 could become Samsung's first smartphone to come with fingerprint reader on screen. According to recent statements, Samsung is working with semiconductor firm Himax and Egis to integrate the fingerprint reader under the Galaxy Note 9 screen, as this technology would not be available in time for the Samsung Galaxy S9.
However the brand is aware that hosting the biometric sensor in the back is not to the liking of many users, and so is managing all possible options to relocate the fingerprint reader without this means that the well-known design must be renounced Infinity Display.
The latest information on the Samsung Galaxy S9 has also revealed that Samsung would be considering not to work with Qualcomm to boost the phone, so instead of Snapdragon 845 for the Galaxy S9 duo, the South Korean company would have decided to use its Exynos 9810 chipset both in the international and American models of its next top of range.
