Price The BenQ EW3270U curved monitor
price The BenQ EW3270U curved monitor is almost as close to a desktop monitor as you can get and, at just $399, it may have been priced too high to be truly amazing. There are three versions available: the 15-inch BenQ EW3270U-V, with a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 at 50Hz mode; the 13-inch BenQ EW3270U-R, with a maximum resolution of 1600x900 at 75Hz mode; and the 12-inch BenQ EW3270U-Q, with a maximum resolution of 1152x864 at 75Hz. This is the first time (as far as we know) that BenQ has put all three models on equal footing, and the end results are nearly identical. In addition, BenQ was able to reduce the screen resolutions further by the second, which is impressive for the amount that they’ve cut down on resolution.
What’s special about this monitor? If all you were going to do with this is a productivity monitor, then the E3270U is just fine. However, if you’re also using it as a mobile work monitor, or a display for use in your living room, you’ll soon realize the many benefits of a curved display. All of the images that you see for the first time will immediately become much sharper on a curved screen. More importantly, it’ll also eliminate the ghosting that so often shows up on computer screens. However, curved screens aren’t just made to make your desktop experience more enjoyable; it’ll make your laptop screen more enjoyable to use in most circumstances.
BenQ put its best foot forward in this monitor (and the other monitor). The display is sharp, crisp and clear, with no ghosting issues. BenQ did an admirable job with its curved
